Parents, coaches, and players in grassroots basketball often struggle to know how and where to locate quality material and what sources to trust. Legitimate information is scarce and major inconsistencies seem to be the norm; until now. We are happy to announce that Prep Hoops Next is dedicated to building and maintaining an industry-best player database.
The goal of this national directory is to establish a respected resource in youth basketball with regard to player data. In order to ensure that the Prep Hoops Next player database is the source for the most accurate player information, all profiles will be verified, and regularly updated by our staff. This player index will also be an essential component as we unveil our national player rankings in the coming weeks. Additionally, it will serve as an important starting point for our nationwide team of scouts and writers at Prep Hoops in assisting all of the players that become prospects deserving of recruiting attention at the high school level.
It would be an impossible task for our Prep Hoops Next staff to watch every single player, in every single game across the country, so we are asking for an assist from you. Parents, coaches, and players, please take a few minutes to introduce yourselves to us via the “Submit Your Profile” form below. Upon the submission of your form, a member of our staff will contact you quickly, and share the process of having your player profile added to the appropriate Prep Hoops Next Player Watch List. All current sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade boys are eligible to be included.
Our staff is fully immersed in the youth basketball scene, so expect the Prep Hoops Next Player Watch Lists to continue to expand in the coming weeks and months. The lists debuting today are comprised of players in the Classes of 2025, 2026, and 2027. Note that at least one member of our staff has evaluated each of the players listed on the Prep Hoops Next Player Watch Lists in-person, and our expansive network of scouts and writers will continue to allow us to discover new talent in all areas of the country.
