Manheim, Pa. — This past weekend Prep Hoops Next was in the gym for the A-Game Fall Shootout which was held at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex in Manheim, PA. There was a ton of talent present from grades 6th-8th with teams from all over the Mid-Atlantic participating. This article breaks down some of the top players from the 7th Grade Gold Division.

2026 Jamal “JJ” Addison | Area 270

Bigger than everybody on the court during his game against TVP ELite, Addison stood out immediately for his Area 270 team. Addison is a 6’3 guard who is the lead catalyst for Area 270 and basically was doing whatever he wanted when the ball was in his hands.  He used his length and strength to bully his way against the defenders and got to the rim at will. Addison just turned 13 this past September and is a player to watch in Maryland for the 2026 class.

2026 DJ Biggins | New York Lightning

Biggins is a 6’1 lead guard that already has a good amount of craft to his game. He is smooth with the basketball and has a good handle that he uses when operating his team’s offense. The best attribute of his game might be his shooting as the lefty is a sniper from behind the three-point line. In my viewing of one of his games he finished with at least five triples. Biggins looks to be on track to run a college offense well one day at the point guard position as he has a skillset that seems advanced beyond his age.

2026 Michael Mack | New York City Rocks

Mack played a big part for the New York City Rocks leading a comeback against Train’d 2 Go which was ultimately not enough for a win but it was Mack’s on ball defense that gave the City Rocks a chance. Mack currently stands at 5’9 but looks like he could grow nicely because of his arm length. If it wasn’t for Macks defense and the amount of pressure he was constantly giving to the opposing team, City Rocks gets blown out.

2027 Dylan Mingo | New York Lightning

Playing up in the 7th grade age group as a 12 year old, Mingo is a terrific two-way player for the New York Lightning. He is a good defender that has a knack of stealing the ball to create offense. Offensively, he already has a good amount of playmaking skills under his belt as he has a nice crossover to get by his defenders and showed a good display of passing.

2027 Chase Graham | New York City Rocks

Graham is by far the shortest kid listed on this list and is another 2027 prospect that was playing up this past weekend. None of that phased him while going up against Train’d 2 Go in the 7th grade gold division. Graham can beat defenders off the dribble with his handle and displayed a very nice juke package that left the defenders off guard plenty of times. Graham might be 5’3 currently but he is not afraid to go up against bigger defenders. There is hope Graham grows significantly more as his brother is currently 6’3.
