Cypress, Texas — The Southwest Kick-Off presented by Prep Hoops Next brought out prospects and teams from all over the country to showcase their talents on one of the biggest up and coming circuits around. Talent oozed out of just about every team at this event, there were bigtime scorers, defenders, rebounders, and more involved in making this tournament so special. The 2025s were loaded with skills, size, and the basketball mindset to become the basketball stars of the future. Let’s take a look at a few more of the most outstanding performers from the Class of 2025.

Daniel Stevenson | Albuquerque, NM | Class of 2025

Daniel Stevenson was the shooter for his squad. Whether it was a catch-and-shoot or spot-up 3-pointer, a pull-up in the mid-range, a free-throw attempt he was making the most out of it and racking up the points. His knack for getting to the foul line was incredible and game-changing in every single game. Stevenson displayed the ability to use his body in order to draw contact on a defender that played him too tightly. His knack for drawing fouls helped his team in a major way late in games, even propelling them to victory in a few.

Chance Rodgers | Yukon, OK | Class of 2025

An instinctual point guard with outstanding intangibles, every play he made was a pure basketball play, if he made a pass he cute right afterward and if his teammates had a hard time getting open he set solid timely screens. Chance Rodgers played his role and the point guard position like it was meant to be played, the young man showed good potential.

Silas Rodriguez | Denton, Tx | Class of 2025

Silas is usually a tremendous shooter that lights teams up from all over the floor, but at this event, he off his versatility at the guard position by playing more of a facilitator role, being the guy that kept his teammates involved and put them in situations to score. Amazing touch his running floaters, you won’t find many of any kids able to make that shot on as consistently as Silas does. Rodriguez is a noteworthy name, he’s bound to make a lot of noise this upcoming summer heading into his freshman season.

Montana Wheeler Montana Wheeler 5'7" | PG TX | Houston, Tx | Class of 2025

Montana Wheeler Montana Wheeler 5'7" | PG TX played with an outstanding amount of effort, particularly on the defensive end where he was in shutdown mode. Wheeler pressed his man the full length of the court by himself and forced turnovers like bad passes and 10-second violation calls. Montana Wheeler Montana Wheeler 5'7" | PG TX proved to be a lockdown defender with a tireless work ethic and energy.

Jp Grubbs | Conroe, Tx | Class of 2024

Jp Grubbs played each and every game with a refuse to lose mentality. Grubbs was one of the toughest and most competitive prospects in the whole tournament. This young ballplayer gave his all on both ends of the floor no matter what score was on the board. He attacked the basketball and cleaned up missed shots offensively, while defensively he crashed the boards and played the passing lanes effectively.
