Trayvon Taylor, 6-1, F, EZ Work Elite
Polished and confident young big man prospect, showed the post-game of a much bigger and more mature player, sometimes he’d out-work you or sometimes just plain beat you with flair and skill, tough to deal with as he can pull you away from the basket and beat you off the bounce or knock one down in your face, loved the whole group from EZ Work and Taylor was the anchor.
Jack McCaffery, 6-4, F, Iowa Barnstormers (pictured above)
Like Scrofton of Teague fits the mold of the modern stretch-4 to a T, great shooting touch out past the arc but does a larger portion of his damage with an array of offensive moves from 15 feet and in, loved his work around the basket with variety, superb defender and rebounder, has the look of a natural ball player who just does a lot of things well and should only get better.
Aldonavin Huddleston, 6-1, F, CMB Runnin Rebels
One of the hardest workers at both ends I saw all weekend, A+ effort in all facets, but not just a glue guy he showed outstanding deep shooting range and lots of craftiness near the basket, relentless on the glass, tons of confidence, and moxie which he used to harass at the defensive end with flair, high upside prospect.
Brandon Rogers, 6-0, F, Progeny
Wasn’t a lower gear for rogers as he attacked at both ends all weekend for a Progeny bunch that was massively entertaining and simply brings the fight every game, undersized in most of his matchups he still used a good frame and aggressiveness to make life difficult for opponents, good skill with the ball in the painted area and was able to finish around or through contact.
Nijah Jewell, 6-0, F, Progeny
Playing forward despite the team essentially boasting a wide-range of guards crossing over Jewell was one of the weekend’s athletic talents to watch, did everything for his club particularly at the defensive end where he was an All-Weekend talent in that category, smooth-mover really glides out on the break with or without the ball and gets to the rim quick off the floor.
Dezmon Briscoe, 6-5, C, Grand Park Premier
Sweet feet and soft hands for this big guy who wasn’t just using the frame to power over or through defenses, showed nice variety around the 5-foot mark going in either direction, soft shooting touch in the mid-range, good rim protection and solid rebounding, as his body matures and his game thrives could develop into a real notable prospect.
Eli Bennett, 6-4, F, Grand Park Premier
Quietly goes about his business in a well-schooled and high IQ manner, can hurt you from multiple levels, guards multiple spots, sees the game and where to attack, the kind of young prospect who may not be near the top of early rankings boards but can be counted on for solid production and sound decisions night in and night out.
