[Cincinnati, OH] — All eyes were on the Elite Athletics Sports Complex this weekend as it hosted the Prep Hoops Next Blue Chip City Mayhem. There was tremendous talent in all three age groups from 12U all the way up to 14U. I had a primary focus on the 12U age group as the Team Teague Evans 2027 group won the championship finishing with an undefeated record of 5-0. Below I take a look at my All Tournament Team selections from the 12U age group.
Antonio Baymon | Team Teague Evans 2027 | Class of 2027
Baymon was the catalyst that led the Team Teague bunch to their championship run at the Blue Chip City Mayhem in the 12U age group. Baymon finished with multiple 20 plus point performances on the weekend simply because of his ability to score the basket around the rim. Baymon has size and strength that you usually don’t see in the 6th grade and he uses that well to his advantage. Baymon was doing whatever he wanted in the low post and took the award for being the most dominant player in the 6th grade division at the Blue Chip City Mayhem.
Tamarje English | Team Teague Evans 2027 | Class of 2027
If Baymon was the Batman to Team Teague Evans 2027, English was Baymon’s robin. English is an explosive athlete that plays with a certain amount of aggressiveness that can allow him to do a lot on the offensive side of the ball. English does a good job of playing through contact and showed that he can get to the free throw line at a high rate. English is a scrappy defender and is a prospect that I can see being able to guard multiple positions as he gets older.
Trey Resch | Chapman Basketball Academy 2027 | Class of 2027
Resch was one of the top floor generals in the 12U age group at the Blue Chip City Mayhem and displayed a high basketball IQ the entire weekend. Resch plays beyond his age which is certainly due to the fact that he has good basketball genes in his family. Whether it was running the show on offense, distributing high level passes or showing off his jumper, the Chapman Baskeball Academy guard looks to be a promising prospect from the state of Wisconsin in the 2027 class.
Austin Slone | Team BNU 2027 | [Class of 2027
Slone played a major part in the success for Team BNU making it to the 12U championship game this past weekend at the Blue Chip City Mayhem. Slone was one of the better two way players in the 6th grade age group that plays hard on both ends of the ball. Already standing at 5’10, Slone is looking to be an intriguing prospect from the state of Kentucky.
Aiden Woods | Team Teague Johnson 2027 | Class of 2027
Woods takes the spot as being the top three-point shooter from the 12U age group at the Blue Chip City Mayhem. Woods is a confident shooter that has a lethal stroke from behind the arc. The scary thing about Woods is, once he gets going from deep, he doesn’t seem to cool down after. Once Woods adds more versatility to his game, he will be even tougher to guard when the basketball is in his hands.

Brody Denny | Team BNU
Kaleb Elkins | Team Teague Evans
Kendrick Martin | Team Teague Evans
