Pangos Junior AA Camp: Top Bigs

St George, UT – One of the most anticipated events of the year took place this past weekend in Utah. The Pangos Junior All-American Camp went from Saturday, March 6th until Sunday, March 7th. The camp offers a look at some of the top 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in the country. The two-day event, run by recruiting legend Dinos Trigonis featured skills, 5 on 5 play, and all-star games featuring the top players in each class. The camp also featured some young and talented big men. In this article, we take a look at the top bigs from the event.

Koa Peat 6’6 PF Chandler, AZ 2025 – It was another dominant weekend for Peat. One of the top players on the West Coast is an intriguing package. He showed some ever-improving ballskils to go along with high level athleticism. He had a silly off-the-backboard dunk that seems crazy even thinking about. He seemed to be the only one allowed to get a rebound when he was in the game and protected the rim while managing to score in transition. Peat was named as Co-MVP of the event.

Jackson Scarborough 6’5 PF Clovis, CA 2026 – Scarborough is a player to keep a close eye on. A natural stretch big, when he was able to get his feet set, he showed a nice outside shooting touch. He played in some pick and pop situations, but was most effective shooting it in catch and shoot action.

Jream Bassett 6’2 C Tacoma, WA 2027 – Bassett towered over the over 6th graders, and seemed to grab every available rebound. The big body post was able to finish with his strong hand around the basket and displayed a good motor.

Deandre Harrison 6’3 PF Gilbert, AZ 2025 – Harrison projects out as more of a wing than a post, but he eats to much down low right now. The lefty had the best second jump of any player at the event and was able to muscle and outjump opponents around the basket. Harrison’s play was rewarded with a selection to the Cream of the Crop game.

Jack Egginton 6’3 Tuscon, AZ 2025 – I love watching Egginton play! He reminds me of a great offensive linemen that makes so few mistakes you hardly notice him. He keeps the game simple, rim running on every possession, providing multiple efforts on defense, and competing for rebounds like it’s game 7.

Kellen Hampton 6’4 PF Oakland, CA 2025 – Hampton was a bully all weekend. While he doesn’t have the most overpowering frame, his ability to play with speed and power allowed him to dislodge opponents for buckets down low and on drives. Hampton was selected as a participant in the cream of the crop game.
