Rumble Under The Palms: All-Tournament Teams (Class of 2027)

Congratulations to the following players for being recognized as All-Tournament selections from the event’s sixth-grade division. 1ST TEAM | RUMBLE UNDER THE PALMS

Whitfield Bynoe | Orlando, FL | Class of 2027

Bynoe was one of the most impressive backcourt prospects from the sixth-grade division at the Prep Hoops Next Rumble Under The Palms event. Although small in stature, the five-foot lead guard’s quickness, ball-handling skills, and shot-making abilities from multiple areas on the floor made him a very difficult match-up for opposing defenses. In fact, Bynoe led his Central Florida Rising Stars (FL) club to a 3-1 record on the weekend and his 18-point showing in pool play against eventual tournament champions, CLT1 Sports (NC), helped him secure his place among 1st Team All-Tournament nominees.

Oneal Delancy | St. Petersburg, FL | Class of 2027

Delancy was the most dominant individual performer of the weekend at Rumble Under The Palms. Detractors may point to his offensive volume or physical advantages but the fact remains that Delancy carried his SPSA Runs (FL) club to the sixth-grade division championship game, and in the process, established himself as one of the current standouts from the Class of 2027 group in the state of Florida. As mentioned in our Day 2 (Sunday) recap, Delancy scored 20 points in the title round, and had a 30-point showing against E1T1 (FL) in pool play. His team’s success (4-1 record for the weekend) further solidifies Delancy’s 1st Team selection.

Carter Florient | Miami, FL | Class of 2027

The South Florida post prospect continues to be one of the most dominant physical specimens in the region among his sixth-grade peers and had another solid showing at Rumble Under The Palms this past weekend. Florient helped his E1T1 (FL) squad to a 3-1 record including a 24-point performance against SPSA Runs (FL). The 6-foot-3 forward not only brings athleticism and a stellar defensive presence to the frontcourt for his club but he is also improving his ability to create offensive opportunities for himself in the lane. He was easily one of the top all-around performers from the Class of 2027 division and a lock for 1st Team All-Tournament honors.

Cruz Miller | Charlotte, NC | Class of 2027

In a CLT1 Sports (NC) line-up featuring only backcourt prospects, Miller efficiently picked his spots to attack, and served in a variety of roles for his team. As one of the most important contributors for the sixth-grade division champions, CLT1 Sports (NC), Miller’s timely 14-point performance in the title game against SPSA Runs (FL) helped his club clinch the Rumble Under The Palms crown in convincing fashion. While Miller thrived as a finisher in transition, he also showed his ability to be a reliable ball-handler and playmaker in the halfcourt, and displayed the versatility to defend multiple positions on the floor.

Sequel Patterson | Charlotte, NC | Class of 2027

Patterson was arguably the most consistent scoring threat for CLT1 Sports (NC) on their way to an unbeaten (5-0) weekend and the sixth-grade division championship at Rumble Under The Palms. The talented guard brings excellent size and athleticism to the court at this level, and continually applied pressure to opponents, aggressively attacking defenders when the ball was in his hands. Patterson scored a personal-best 17 points in a pool play victory against Miami Top Risers (FL) and secured “Most Outstanding Player” honors with his 15-point showing in the title game against SPSA Runs (FL).
