Chidi Nwigwe/ NJ Scholars/ Class of 2026

Nwigwe had a strong showing throughout the weekend as he was able to show his full skillset. The lanky 6’3 wing has a good handle and was able to slip through defenders on his way to the basket. Nwigwe also has a good release on his jumper and shoots the ball with confidence. His length allows him to defend multiple positions on the floor and jumps passing lanes pretty well. Nwigwe is an intriguing prospect to watch in the Garden State due to his combination of size, skill and length.

Jai Richburg/ Carolina Stars/ Class of 2026

The Carolina Stars took home the 7th grade platinum title with Richburg having a big part in it. The 6’4 forward can handle the ball well in transition and finished strong around the rim. Richburg drew contact consistently throughout the weekend and shot the ball well from the free throw line. He skied for rebounds on both ends of the floor and made plays on the defensive end. Richburg has the flexibility to play either the three or the four, which makes him a prospect to watch in the Carolinas.

Amari Evans/ NY Lightning/ Class of 2025

The NY Lightning took home the 8th grade platinum title with Evans being a difference-maker on the wing. The 6’3 forward attacked the basket strong throughout the weekend and had a nice tip dunk on Championship Sunday. Evans can draw contact around the basket and moves well off the ball. He skies for rebounds on both ends and has the ability to bring the ball up the court. Evans’ athleticism and skill makes him a prospect to keep an eye on in Pittsburgh.

Trey Lewis/ Riverside Hawks/ Class of 2026

Lewis played up in the 8th grade platinum division, but he did not show any signs of being overmatched. The 6’0 wing was at his best in transition as he pushed the pace effectively and made smart decisions. Lewis attacked the basket strong and was able to finish shots through contact. He was a pest on the defensive end as he constantly got steals and deflections. Lewis has the potential to play multiple positions on the floor, which makes him an intriguing prospect in the Empire State.

Josh Rivera/ Riverside Hawks/ Class of 2027

Rivera played more of a four role for the Riverside Hawks, but his skillset allows him to play out on the wing. The 5’9 wing has a nice handle and is quite comfortable putting the ball on the floor. Rivera finishes around the basket strong and shoots the ball with confidence from the perimeter. He attacks the glass strong and uses his length to make plays on the defensive end. Rivera’s potential on the wing and the interior makes him a prospect to watch in New York.
