Dallas, Texas — The Prep Hoops Next Southwest Region Finals brought out some of the toughest, most talented teams and players across the country. The fans, players, and coaches all brought intense, electric energy throughout the weekend. The competition on the court was stiff for all ages, from 11U up to 14U and teams fought tough and nail to leave this tournament on top. Here we’ll take a look at the top-performing players of the 11U division.

| Kameron Ijeh| Point Guard | Texas Summitt 2028 |

One of, if not the, best scorer of the 11U division was Kameron Ijeh, a pure basketball player that has a variety of ways of getting a bucket. Ijeh handles were something serious, he displayed supreme quickness with the rock as well as impressive footwork, utilizing hop steps and euro steps, particularly when tightly defended on the dribble-drive. The Texas Summitt guard proved to be creative enough to get his own shot, crafty enough to finish at the hoop with one of his many reverse layups, or even stop on a dime and pull-up for a quick short-range jumper. Slowing him down in the open court seemed impossible, a true coast-to-coast scoring threat, once he got the rebound or received the outlet pass only one thing was on his mind and that was putting points on the board. Get use to hearing the name Kameron Ijeh, he’s a walking highlight reel.

| Soane Hola | Forward | Team Ferarri |

Team Ferarri had a true low post threat in Soane Hola who put up a strong 14 point performance on the final day in an attempt to push his squad into the championship game. This young ballplayer did an exceptionally well job of consistently positioning himself near the basket, using his sturdy lower base. Every time Hola received the ball he went to work, pulling out all the effective ball fake, head fake, and turnaround moves. Soane Hola used his size and strength to draw fouls, and his length to score through multiple defenders. Very strong, physical, and fearless competitor, someone not afraid to get down and dirty.

| Brayden Harrison | Point Guard | Southern Assault 2028 |

Ultra talented point guard with an all-around set of skills. Defensively, Harrison locked down opposing guards, forcing turnovers when playing on the ball, and when playing off the ball he was a terror in the passing lanes, baiting guys into throwing it before taking it the other way. Offensively, Brayden Harrison was practically a magician with the ball, he showed an amazing ability to make all sorts of shots and passes with either hand. Terrific use of his off-hand, this kid used it just as much if not more than his right hand. When it came to creating his own shot, Harrison beat the defense off the dribble with a few of the most jaw-dropping crossovers to pull-up jump shots that I witnessed all weekend. Although he can do it all on the offensive end, he was still unselfish, always keeping his eyes on the move, seeing everyone, and looking to use his teammates on a consistent basis. Brayden Harrison’s upside as a ballplayer is through the roof, his understanding of the game is on another level right now.

| Josiah Rose | Shooting Guard | Texas Summitt 2028 |

Josiah Rose was by far the best dribble-penetrator in the building, no doubt about it. This lefty scored all of his points from within the paint area by playing own his game. Rose didn’t force anything or get out of character one bit, this great slasher knew exactly how to get the ball to his spots and score. Josiah Rose did a lot of damage when attacking from the high post and the wing where his team looked to dumped it off to him each time they came up the court. Rose was fantastic with the give and go and he continuously ran it until the defense proved they could stop it. Josiah Rose is already outsizing his opponents and he looks as if he’ll develop into a big guard over time. This young man is explosive and powerful with a knack for using his size and strength to his advantage.

| Jett Stephens | Forward | We R One 2028 |

Jett Stephens might’ve been the most competitive player in the gym, he has a motor like no other, limitless energy, and a phenomenal nose for the ball, this kid was all over the court hustling for the ball. Jett played with a good feel for the game, there weren’t many kids in the 11U division setting on and off-ball screens without being prompted to quite like Stephens. The We R One forward showed a knack for attacking the right side of the floor with a full head of steam and going down low to the block and getting his hands up looking for the dump-off pass. Great hands, he catches passes thrown his way and also pulls down rebounds with force. Jett Stephens believed every rebound was his and proceeded to crash the boards each time a shot went up showing an impressive nose for the ball by always finding a way to get a hand on it. Often after grabbing a defensive board, Stephens would push the ball up the floor in a hurry with timely passes to open teammates leaking out to the short corner or cutting to the basket. Good help-side defender as well, he covered ground very quickly to alter shots and force passes. Jett Stephens really put his skillset on full display in the championship matchup where he saved his best game for last, scoring nearly half of his team’s points in the first half of play. Stephens was on fire, nailing jump shots from the mid-range and scoring inside the lane through contact on countless occasions.

| Tylin Turntine | Foward | Texas Summitt 2028 |

On championship day, Tylin Turntine was a heavy contributing playmaker off the bench that showed up, showed out, and led everyone in steals. The productivity of Turntine played a major key to his teams success and it’s also what made him such an X-factor every time he stepped foot on the court. This high motor competitor showed a true relentless nature on the glass, he controlled the boards by quickly grabbing rebounds and pushing the ball up the court. Turntine did it all, he even wreaked havoc in the passing lanes, swooping in out of nowhere to jump long passes before taking it the other way for two points. Offensively, he’s extremely unselfish, always looking to make the extra pass, anytime a teammate threw him the ball they knew to cut to the basket and the pass would be returning back to them. Tylin Turntine consistently found a way to impact the game, whether he was rebounding, causing a turnover, or simply moving around the floor looking to get open or get a teammate open, everything he brought to the table was conducive to winning.
