With our tournament teams, we created three teams, a first-team, a second-team, and a third-team. With each team we created, we used keynotes given to us by the coaches of these programs as well as my analysis of said player from what I witnessed all weekend at Burnsville. Analysis was also given out on all three teams, on an “as watched basis” where we reviewed 10 prospect performances throughout the weekend.
I give you the Class of 2025 All-Tournament Team at the #NEXTBattleatTheLakes from Burnsville High School!
FIRST TEAM
Drew Daoust | Brussels, WI | Wisconsin Crusaders Premier Purple 2025
Daoust was a prolific outside shooter all weekend and exploded with multiple 20+ point games throughout the weekend in Burnsville. I also enjoyed Daoust on the defensive end as an aggressive defender, especially in the passing lanes. You can tell Daoust is a pure shooter based on the poise he carried on the court, but he also has a strong vertical inside to grabs his handful of boards for the Wisconsin Crusaders.
Amari Allen | Kaukauna, WI | Wisconsin Playground Club 2025
Allen finished the weekend as one of my favorite combo scorers for Wisconsin Playground Club 2025. I also loved his versatility in his game as he’s not just a scorer; he is a solid team player that racked up plenty of bullet points all weekend in the team points category. I have a gut feeling Amari is the next big household college prospect out of the Fox Valley area.
Jalen Wilson | Minneapolis, MN | D1 Minnesota Dewey 2025
Wilson was a player I only got my eyes on for one game, but he was terrific in that one game I watched. You can tell this young man plays with a lot of heart-based on what I saw in the semifinals in 14U on Sunday; he added 20 points in that one, and although a loss, a prospect that will be a great add-on to Benilde St. Margaret’s in the future. They will get getting a solid scorer that can fill up a basket in various ways.
Brooks Hinson | Marshfield, WI | Wisconsin Playground Club 2025
Hinson was a borderline first/second team prospect based on the first game I watched, but he sealed his ticket to be first-teamer in the second game. He played with an extra chip on his shoulder in that second game from my eyes and was not only an effective combo scoring guard but also played fearless basketball, grabbing plenty of rebounds for Wisconsin Playground Club. He will be a fun addition to the Marshfield Tigers program this coming year.
Zach Driscoll | Monona, IA | Minnesota Lightning King 2025
Driscoll was one of the most consistent scorers this weekend for the Minnesota Lightning 2025 King team. He played solid in the game I witnessed on Friday night, as he took control of the inside game while Kaiden Wilber took care of the outside shooting for the Lightning. On Saturday, he erupted for 30 points in one game, which raised his stock to a first-team level.
Davion Hannah | Milwaukee, WI | Kevon Looney Power 5 Mc Henry 2025
Walker Braaten | Westhope, ND | ECI Meissner 2025
Nolan Davis | Cottage Grove, MN | Minnesota Magic Premier 2025
SECOND TEAM
DJ Carr | Racine, WI | Wisconsin Elite 2025
I came away super impressed with how DJ Carr ran the floor on Saturday and the glimpses I caught on Sunday. His ability to just attack the basket was super effective in Wisconsin Elite’s win over Minnesota Comets Cloutier 2025. He also was a ballhawk on defense as he grabbed plenty of steals that he turned into fast-break buckets on Saturday evening. Carr was the closest prospect on this second team to cracking the first team.
James Martin | Woodbury, MN | Minnesota Magic Premier 2025
Martin was a do-it-all player from what I witnessed this weekend for Minnesota Magic. He showed to be a team-first player that plays with great pace. He was not afraid to get on the low block and get rebounds either for the Magic.
Marcus Horton Jr. | Apple Valley, MN | Minnesota Magic Premier 2025
Horton Jr. provided a versatile scoring mix in their win over Minnesota Rush. He showed that same versatility on the defensive side of the ball where he was an effective rebounder when needed that could also grab some key steals for the Magic.
Luke Jung | Neenah, WI | Wisconsin Crusaders Premier Black 2025
Jung was the bright spot from what I had witnessed from the Wisconsin Crusaders Premier Black on Friday night. You can tell when you watch Jung that he is a natural outside shooter that just has that shooter’s touch that can pour it on when he’s given a chance.
Drew Kempel | Bismarck, ND | ECI Meissner 2025
Mason King | Caledonia, MN | MN Lightning King 2025
Trayvon Taylor | St. Paul, MN | EZ Work Elite 2025
Corey Barnes | St. Cloud, MN | Real Phenom Basketball 2025
Amare Jackson | Milwaukee, WI | Kevon Looney Power 5 McHenry 2025
Deuce Burks | Milwaukee, WI | Kevon Looney Power 5 McHenry 2025
Parker Brodina | Devils Lake, ND | ECI Winczewski 2025
David Bolden | Milwaukee, WI | Kevon Looney Power 5 Fletcher 2025
Keegan Van Kauwenberg | Kaukauna, WI | Wisconsin Crusaders Premier Purple 2025
THIRD TEAM
Jamarion Batemon | Milwaukee, WI | Kevon Looney Power 5 McHenry 2025
Batemon rose above his ceiling in the most key game on Sunday against their in-house rival. I came away impressed with this young man’s determination in the second half of this one as his outside shooting proved key into icing KL Power 5 McHenry over their rivals. He showed solid confidence in his game and a player that can turn on the jets quickly.
Kyrin Wright | Milwaukee, WI | Kevon Looney Power 5 Fletcher 2025
Wright has a long stretch that really helped out his game in the passing lanes. Wright logged double-digit points in their first game I witnessed and was an effective team player that always made the right pass at the right time.
Jack Dagostino | Circle Pines, MN | Minnesota Heat Dahl 2025
Dagostino was an effective scorer in the game I witnessed against Playmakers Showcase 2025. He logged 18 points and was the center of attention in Minnesota Heat Dahl’s come-back win against Playmakers Showcase 2025.
Kaiden Wilbur | Holmen, WI | Minnesota Lightning King 2025
Pearce Parks | Grand Forks, ND | ECI Meissner 2025
Aric Winczewski | Minot, ND | ECI Winczewski 2025
Truitt Brannan | Bismarck, ND | ECI Winczewski 2025
Brady Westphal | West Fargo, ND | ECI Lowrance 2025
