With the amount of talent that was in the gym this weekend it was a difficult process to come up with the top 15 players from the PHN 2K21 as there were a large portion of players that could have been placed on an All-Tournament Team. Below are the final selections for the All-Tournament Team from the 14U division…
1ST TEAM | Prep Hoops Next 2K21
Malachi Moreno | Indiana Elite | Class of 2025
Moreno was by far the biggest matchup nightmare at PHN 2K21 in Indianapolis due to his size standing at 6’10. There was simply nobody from any other teams that could matchup with that size as he was the most dominant player on an Indiana Elite team that won the 14U Platinum Championship. Entering his 9th grade year, Moreno has already picked up an offer from Eastern Kentucky.
Braylon Mullins | Indiana Elite | Class of 2025
Mullins was definitely the second most dominant player for Indiana Elite at PHN 2K21 and he has some serious scoring versatility on the offensive side of the ball. Standing at 6’2, Mullins has a tight handle that helps him secure the ball when he is handling it and uses his handle well to get by defenders to create space for himself. He is a reliable shooter as well that can be relied on to make shots for Indiana Elite. Defensively, he was special too as he has great footwork being able to stay in front of his guys and does a good job of defending at a high level without fouling.
Vincas Buzelis | Full Package Black | Class of 2025
When it comes to talking about prospects that have an advanced skill set for 8th graders, Buzelis sits near the top of that list. Buzelis played a huge factor in helping Full Package Black win the PHN 2K21 Gold division. Buzelis is currently a 6’0 forward that will most likely play the three during his time at high school and should affect the game in a lot of ways because of his size and skill.
Colby Smith | Full Package Black | Class of 2025
Smith is another prospect that was extremely impressive for Full Package this weekend at the PHN 2K21. He was one of my favorite guards to watch as he is a lead guard that can score the ball when needed but also can facilitate at a high level. Multiple teams were trying different things on defense to stop him but Smith was always adjusting to whatever they were giving him. Smith has a bright future in the state of Illinois.
Bradley Longcor | Iowa Barnstormers Gold | Class of 2025
Iowa Barnstormers do not make it to the Gold Championship game if it was not for Longcor’s effort and ability to score the basketball. Longcor could not be slowed down all weekend long and demanded the ball multiple times in games because nobody was able to slow him down. The 6’0 guard has an intriguing size that should translate well for him to have a really good high school career and a strong AAU career with the Iowa Barnstormers.
