When grading the national circuit as a whole, the wing position was quite possibly the deepest as far as pure talent was concerned, which made narrowing down this list of prospects exceedingly difficult. In the end, the five players I selected were not only the most productive performers on the 2021 Prep Hoops Next circuit, I believe strongly that each of them has bright futures ahead on the hardwood…
Amari Allen | De Pere, WI | Class of 2025
Allen was sidelined by nagging injuries in the early spring and forced to sit out during the Prep Hoops Next Future Stars Classic in early April. The 6-foot-5 wing returned to the hardwood with a vengeance at the renowned Battle At The Lakes tournament, leading Wisconsin Playground Club to an unbeaten 6-0 record, capturing the 14U National Division Championship in the process. A versatile athlete with an ever-improving offensive repertoire, Allen’s confidence is growing rapidly, and it’s likely that he will have an immediate impact at Kaukauna (WI) High School this season.
Brayden Burries | San Bernardino, CA | Class of 2025
Burries made his Prep Hoops Next circuit debut with Team DTermined (CA) at the West Coast Kickoff in early February and established himself as one of the elite perimeter performers on the event series regardless of region. The physical, 6-foot-5 forward flashed unique scoring tools and overpowered opponents with his strength above the rim. Additionally, Burries’ ball-handling and passing abilities should not be underestimated, while his bulky lower half makes him difficult to contain in his pursuit of rebounds. Expect the Inland Empire product to continue elevating his profile this season at Riverside Polytechnic (CA) High School.
Jalen Haralson | Anderson, IN | Class of 2025
Haralson attended multiple stops on the Prep Hoops Next circuit which resulted in a pair of title game appearances for Team Teague (IN). The 6-foot-5 wing was named Most Outstanding Player in the 14U division after winning the Heartland Kickoff in February and followed that effort with a 1st Team All-Tournament selection in March at the inaugural Blue Chip City Mayhem event. A fantastic athlete who can get downhill and assault the rim in a hurry, Haralson is only beginning to scratch the surface of his abilities, particularly on the defensive end of the floor. He’ll begin his freshman campaign at Fishers (IN) High School.

| Sarasota, FL | Class of 2025
As shocking as it may sound, Jones enters the high school ranks as one of the nation’s most explosive leapers regardless of class. The 6-foot-6 wing competes as if he was shot out of a cannon and put his high-wire act on full display at the Prep Hoops Next Southeast Kickoff in January with E1T1 Elite (FL). Although Jones must refine the finer points of his game, he has a number of underappreciated skills, and possesses the makings of an elite talent. His continued progression at Sarasota Riverview (FL) High School will surely be monitored closely by collegiate coaches and media members alike.

Williams-Adams was one of several promising prospects for the JL3 Elite (TX) eighth-grade team which made their Prep Hoops Next circuit debut in January at the Southwest Kickoff. A rangy, 6-foot-6 forward, Williams-Adams brings enormous versatility to the court with his defensive potential as well as his playmaking tools as a passer and scorer. A Wichita State hoops legacy (a nod to his mother and maternal grandfather), Williams-Adams has started his freshman year at St. John’s (TX) School, where his own recruitment should experience an immediate uptick as his aggressiveness ramps up and his basketball persona blossoms.
