Team Model
We approach our group like Team USA Basketball does where we may have 15-20 kids on our travel roster but not every kid plays in every event. We have some “national” events that we participate in, some “regional” events, and then some “local” events. This 2026 team is predominantly made up of kids from Virginia and North Carolina where Team Loaded is established, but we also have kids from other parts of the country.
Schedule
Our schedule is a work in progress right now, we definitely plan on playing in some Coast 2 Coast events. With their National and Regional schedule they will be playing two times a month.

Top Players
While there are a lot of places that rank players from all over the country Team Loaded has 6 players in the Top 100. Even with 6 players on the radar they have other players on the roster that will soon make their debut on the Top-ranked lists.
Family First
“It has become cliche to say this, but we really approach our team as a family. Families may fight from time to time but at the end of the day we have each other’s back. It is my job as the Coach/GM of our group to tell these kids the truth and to put them in the best possible position for success. Kevin Eastman wrote in his book that Doc Rivers said something along the lines of good players wan to be coached, bad players want to be left alone, but the greats want the truth. We try and stick to that mantra and in today’s social media-obsessed world it is hard to tell a kid he needs to get better at X, Y, Z because they have a hundred other people telling them how great they are. I think the real players understand this and appreciate that we really do have their best interest at heart.”

It is true that it takes a village to make things work the way they do. I obviously want to recognize Ty White of Team Loaded and Brandon Ward of TL. Both of those guys have taken me under their wing and showed me the ropes since I joined TL. I would also like to shout out my partner in crime, Cody VanMeter, we coach this team together and he’s amazing. On the player’s side, I’ve got to think Daquan McCrimmon and Randy Wade. They both are related to one of our top players on the team and they could be playing with anyone, but they’ve trusted the vision that I’ve had and they’ve also helped me in so many ways. Last but not least, my wife and my daughter. Without their understanding and patience, I couldn’t dedicate the time and resources that I have to this.
