Team Cezers Winter Invitational Recap: Bigs And Wings

The Winter Invitational took place at the Kroc Center in Phoenix, AZ from Friday, November 12th until Sunday, November 13th. The event, hosted by Team Cezer featured boys teams from 5th grade through 8th and attracted teams from Arizona, Nevada, and California. The format is two days of pool play followed by bracket play on Sunday. The event was home to some high-level post and wing play. In this article, we take a look at the top Bigs and Wings from the event.

Darrius Wabbington 6’4 PF Skyriders 2027 – Wabbington has a chance to make my skilled 4’s list down the road. Although one of the taller players at the event, he looked extremely comfortable when facing the basket. The power forward showed good instincts, and vision, making plays for teammates with his passing. With his combination of size and skill, he’s undoubtedly a stock riser to keep an eye on.

Adan Diggs 5’11 SF Sneaker Steal 2028 – Diggs reminds me a lot of his SS teammate DJ Spencer. Like Spencer Diggs was one of the top grab and go guys at the event. The forward controlled the backboard with his rebounding, quickly turning it into offense, by starting the break and pushing the ball in transition. The long-armed forward showed good defensive versatility as well, defending multiple positions throughout the weekend.

Elijah Garner 6’4 SF Prodigy 2026 (featured image) – Garner was the top R&J athlete at the event, showing off his hops with a nice dunk in transition. The 6’4 forward displayed fluid rim running ability. Garner was primarily a post player for Prodigy this weekend, but his frame and ball skills give you the indication of a guy that can easily transition into more of a wing.

Travon Duvry 6’2 SF Up Tempo 2026 – Durvy and UT guard William Gordon formed one of the top 1-2 punches at the event. Durvy showed remarkable ball skills, sometimes pushing the ball in transition, other times breaking defenders down off the bounce. The big-bodied driver played with terrific pace and showed the ability to make plays for teammates with his passing skills.

Alex Taylor 5’10 SF AZ Select 2026 – Taylor is one of those players that just keeps coming. He was relentless in his downhill attack, either crossing, shedding, and using his footwork to elude defenders. He showed the ability to break down his steps as he got into the lane, either using a traditional 1,2, or a euro step to create angles to finish at the rim.
