The atmosphere was great as programs from all over the west coast were giving it their all. Below are a few takeaways from day one…
Tyran Stokes Looking Like A Top Prospect In 2026
The hype surrounding Stoke is legit as he showcased his skill on both ends of the ball all day long. Standing at 6’6, he is a matchup nightmare in the 14u division. He is dominant around the paint finishing with multiple dunks on the day. Defensively he was impressive too really showcasing his ability to alter with his height.
Jason Crowe Jr. Hype Is Real
It might have been one of the best individual performances I have seen in the 14U division as Crowe dropped 40 points in a very intense game between Just Breathe Elite. Crowe has deep range extending beyond the three point line but can also use his quickness to get past defenders and score at the rim. Crowe has been one of the top scorers I have seen so far from the class of 2026.
Team Eleate Impresses
One of the more complete underrated teams from day one was the 2026 Team Eleate bunch. They are a very deep and balanced bunch. They had a very impressive win against Just Breathe Elite in the quarterfinals, advancing to the semifinals to play against Tucson Spartans Black. 2027 Kainoa Patton, 2026 Jasiah Williams and 2026 Joseph Terry really stood out for Eleate.
Multiple Guys Stand Out From San Diego Soldiers
It was not the type of day the San Diego Soldiers 2026 Salute group wanted record wise but it is important to note the talent they have. 2026 Mason Zennedfijan is a big time shot maker that was shooting it from deep all day long. 2026 Braden Davidson is an active playmaking guard that can score in multiple ways. Davidson can attack the basket hard and get to the free throw line playing through contact. The future is bright for this group.
Maxwell Scott Leads Branch West
Scott was vital for Branch West in their win against The Truth 2027 group. The class of 2027 guard was scoring at a high level for his team but also has some good playmaking skills where he was able to get his teammates involved. Scott’s play dictates how well this Branch West team can be moving forward.
