Who is your favorite player right now?
My favorite player is Devin Booker. He’s my favorite player because he can take charge of any game and also play a key role on a winning team (Suns).
What are some things you’re working on to get better?
One of the things I’m working on right now is changing speeds at any given time. This allows me to blow by defenders, but also keep the game in control if I need to slow it down.
Do you have a dream school at the college level?
My dream college had always been the University of North Carolina. I have family back in NC so I’d love to put on for them. I’ve been around the campus a few times, and my father also went there so I’m pretty familiar with it. They also have a rich history in basketball with good players and coaches and have good academics.
Who do you pattern your game after?
Of course I like to pick up different skills and tips from different people whether that be coaches, pros, peers, and even my parents along my journey but I really just like to play my own way. I like to create my own stuff and be myself out on the court.
How would you describe your game?
I describe myself to be a crafty guard who can score on every level. I can get to the rim and finish if I need to, I can pull up or shoot a floater if I get past the defender, and I can shoot the 3 ball, but of course you can always get better at all so that’s what i’m striving for.
Is there any basketball players in the family?
In my family, my mom is the basketball player. She played college basketball. My dad was a football player.
How did you get into basketball?
My parents both got me into basketball, and that really took off after I mainly focused on basketball. I’ve been playing competitively for around 5 years.
What did you learn about yourself in the West Coast Kick-Off event?
This weekend at the Prep Hoops event I learned how to play in different atmospheres. There was a lot of energy in the building. I think that if I continue to play with my friends at a high level things will come together for me.
