Who is your favorite player?
My favorite player is Pistol Pete Maravich he was way before his time and he had that swag and he created for people.
What are somethings that you are working on?
I am working on getting stronger and getting faster and finishing through contact. I am also working on getting better on defense.
What is your dream college?
My dream college is UCLA. It always has been and I have literally had dreams of going there.
Who do you model your game after?
I model my game after Devin Booker. I love the competes and that edge he has about him. He has the “IT” factor about him. He can beat people off the dribble and he has an elite pull up. He is an underdog and i can relate to that.
How would you describe your game?
I am a combo guard because I can handle the ball a little and I can beat people off the dribble, but I can also shoot. I have a high IQ and I can lead a team as a natural leader.
Is there any basketball players in the family?
My dad played college basketball back in the 80’s when everyone wore short shorts.
Who got you into basketball?
My dad was also the one who got me into basketball but I do remember starting to play ball when i was 5. I don’t remember a time when I didn’t have a basketball in my hands. I really started taking it seriously when I was 7 or 8. I have also been taking it to another level when I was 12.
What are some things that you learned in this past even at the West Coast Kick-Off?
it was a really good tournament as there were teams from all over the country and it was competitive. The event staff was taking it seriously which also made it a great event. I learned that I just need to play through contact more but it was also great to put the things I have been working on to the test.
The Wrap-Up
Hunter has a mature game and a mature demeanor about him. He is out there to get better and work on his craft. He is a leader out on the floor directing traffic. Hunter has three-level scoring ability. Really impressed with his catch and shoot ability. The Class of 2027 has a good one out in Los Angeles in Hunter Caplan.
