The wing group was filled with big-time talent who had strong performances this weekend. Here are some of the Standout Wings from the A-Game Super Shootout.
Ethan Mgbako, 6’4 NJ Scholars 2026
Mgbako had a strong performance over the weekend in the 8th grade platinum division as he showed his all-around skillset in the halfcourt. The 6’4 wing attacked the basket strong as he was able to draw contact consistently around the basket and finish around the rim. Mgbako shot the ball with confidence from distance, showing he is capable of shooting either off the dribble or catch. He ripped down rebound on both ends of the floor and brought the ball up the floor at times. Mgbako is a skilled wing prospect who will be one to watch over the next couple of years.
Baba Oladotun, 6’3 DC Premier 2027
Oladotun played up in the 8th grade platinum division, but that did not stop him from making an impact this weekend. The 6’3 wing scored at all three levels this weekend and used his combination of size and length to shoot over smaller defenders. Oladotun was able to get to his spot on the floor and used his handle to create off the bounce. He showed the ability to run the offense in a pinch and was not rattled by the on-ball pressure. Oladotun is a talented prospect who will be a name to follow in the DMV.
Jordan Skyers, 6’2 Hollow Elite 2026
Skyers had a good showing at the A-Game Super Shootout as he showed his ability to impact at both ends of the floor. The 6’2 wing is a big-time athlete as he can finish above the rim with authority and also has a good layup package. Skyers made good passes in transition and used his handle to blow by his defender in the half court. He consistently got deflections on the defensive end and slid his feet nicely. Skyers is a two-way wing prospect who should use his athleticism and talent to make plays in events in the future.
Jahlil Lawson, 6’0 Team Spartans 2027
Lawson projects to play in the backcourt in high school, but he showed that he could play on the wing over the weekend. The 6’0 wing attacked the basket with a purpose and finished nicely around the basket. Lawson was able to get into the paint with consistency at the A-Game Super Shootout and has a nice touch on his floater. He has a good handle and made smart decisions with the ball in his hands. Lawson is an attack-minded wing who made plays all weekend long for Team Spartans.
Nasir Ralls, 6’1 NJ Scholars 2026
Ralls will end up in the backcourt in his high school career, but showed his ability to play on the wing as well. The 6’1 wing has a smooth release on his jumper and shot the ball with confidence from behind the arc. Ralls did more than just shoot at A-Game as he also showed the ability to get to the rim and finish around the basket. He fought for rebounds and used his length to create problems on the defensive end. Ralls’ ability to knock down shots behind the arc combined with his ability to finish around the basket is something that will help him in high school.
