We’ve talked about the Immediate Takeaways now; let’s dive into classification breakdowns.

Here are a few standouts from the 2026 division.

Kendre’ Harrison (6’7/F-C/2026)

Team: Team Loaded VA

Instagram: _showtimedree

Twitter: _showtimedree

Dre was an absolute monster rebounder and defender throughout the Battle of the Magic City. Offensively, he was simply unstoppable as he played with an edge about himself. I was watching another game and missed the moment when he caught a body that sent everyone into a frenzy. He is an aggressive player, which shows on both ends of the floor. Some people don’t like the terminology, but you hear it throughout, and that is, Dre had that dog in him on the offensive end of the court. He did not mind banging; in fact, he initiated a lot of contact and played highly physical on the low block.

He is a fierce competitor poised to make a lot of noise this spring and summer.

You will see a lot of ink on Dre in the upcoming months across numerous platforms because he will emerge from the pack everywhere he goes.

Opportunities For Growth: Dre’ showed a game beyond his years in his post play. I would like to see him expand his offensive game more outside of the paint. With the caliber coaches he is under, I am sure they are working on that, and as he shows it more in competitive contests, it will definitely raise his stock.

Ar’Mari Towns (6’3/Power Forward/2026)

Team: SMB (Self-Made Ballers)

Instagram: @hoopstar.marii

Twitter: N/A

This was my first time laying eyes on Ar’Mari, and he was impressive in the paint offensively and instinctively defensively. He showed a lot of versatility on the offensive end of the court as he scored in the paint off the low block, in iso situations, and in transition. Listed as a 6’3 Power Forward, he is undersized when going against many of the 6’7 and 6’8 Forwards in this tournament, but he shined against teams with similar frontlines.

He is a player with a high motor, runs the floor hard, and is disruptive on defense.

Opportunities For Growth: Ar’Mari is already really versatile, which will help in his transition to the high school game. If he does not grow much anymore, it is imperative that he spends this off-season honing his perimeter skills and play.

Ethan Gatewood (6’7/Small Forward/2026)

Team: Young Pro Global

Instagram: Ethan21gatewood

Twitter: @ethan21gatewood

The last time I saw Ethan was last summer, and he continues to develop his all-around game. He is still tough to deal with on the low-block and is strong on the glass. His mobility has gotten better, and he is moving better on both ends of the floor. His post moves are more fluid, and he finishes well in the paint and at the rim. He has positional size and utilizes his length on both ends of the court to impact the game. He challenges shots in the paint and makes potential scorers finish thru contact, but he does it without fouling, as he walls up very well.

Offensively he uses a combination of power and strength to finish plays in the paint.

Look for Ethan to have a solid spring and summer.

Opportunities For Growth: Ethan’s development continues to be seen, and I encourage him to continue on the trajectory that he is on. Continue working on his agility, post play, and expanding his game outside of the paint. I saw him push the ball out in transition, and if he can continue working on his handles and get to a place where he can board and start the break, it will take his game to another level.

Tristan James Comer (6’7/Forward/2026)

Team: All Ohio Sumner

Instagram: tristan_tcp_comer

Twitter: N/A

Tristan has good positional size and was a warrior on the glass. He battled extremely hard and brought a lot of effort in that area of the game. He worked hard to establish his post presence and made himself big on the low block. He showed numerous post moves and was aggressive when scoring at the rim.

He played with a lot of grit and impacted winning by asserting himself in the paint and at the rim.

He is on a team loaded with talent, and it is easy to get lost on a team like this, but he has found a way to impact the game without being the focus piece. With an assembled team like this, most of these players are ‘the man’ back at school, and it shows a lot about the player when he can merge his talents onto an assembled team like All-Ohio Sumner. Tristan has done a great job doing this.

Opportunities For Growth: When you watch Tristan play, his game sometimes puts you in the mindset of a traditional big. Today’s generation may not understand that terminology, but a brief explanation is that it is a player that plays with his back to the basket majority of the time. Tristan was a factor with his back to the basket, so I encourage him to, yes, expand his game beyond the paint but continue to work on building the tools to play with his back to the basket. Adding what I just mentioned will make him more versatile with his current tools.

Latrell Allmond (Forward/2026)

Team: Team Loaded VA

Instagram: N/A

Twitter: N/A

Latrell was one of the most skilled post players I saw. He is physically imposing and imposed his physical strength in many match-ups that he was in throughout the weekend. He has a tremendous physical profile that draws attention as soon as he walks into the gym. He scores in a variety of ways but was impressive in scoring in iso face-ups. He has a nice repertoire of scoring tools at his disposal. He owned the midline on both ends of the floor. He was one of the more mobile bigs that I saw, and he moved well on both ends of the floor. He played with a high motor and has enormous potential as he heads into his freshman year.

Like his teammate I wrote about in this article Latrell is also poised to make a huge impact this spring and summer.

Opportunities For Growth: One moment brought about a great intrigue when it comes to Latrell, and that is when he knocked down a straight-away three. I was standing by another scout, and we both looked at each other and said if he can make that consistently, that is going to be a game-changer for him. Let me go ahead and say if he adds a consistent trey ball to his arsenal…opponents watch out!
