David has a raw game but he has a motor and he plays a physical style of basketball that currently bodes well with his skill set.

Slashing Ability

David is showing some early signs of a player that will be a menace in the paint with his ability to carve through defenses. He has a sweet left to right crossover. Gets to the rim as he creates contact and finishes through it as well.

Creator

With the ability to get in the lane he is creating opportunities for his teammates as he draws two and kicks it out. He’s got a good bag to start with on his drives and finishes but in time he will polish up his game and he will be a problem.

How long have you been playing basketball?

I have been playing basketball for about three years.

Who got you into playing basketball?

I got into playing basketball by watching it. I starting watching Lebron James and that’s when I started playing.

What players do you pattern your game after?

I like to pattern my game after Ja Morant and Kyrie Irving.

How would you describe your style of play?

I am a lock down defender so I think I would say that I am a bit like Jimmy Butler and more of Ja Morant.

What are some things that you are currently working on?

I am working on getting better at my jump shot. I am working on developing that aspect of my game.

Do you have a dream school to go to for college?

I really don’t have a dream school, I’d go anywhere.

What is an ideal career aside from basketball?

I think that I want to study something that has to do with coding and computers.

What is basketball like in your area?

Basketball is everything in my area, that is all everyone talks about.

There seems to be a revitalized youth movement in the Los Angeles area as many young 2026 and 2027 players like David are starting to get good at a young age. Look out for California in the future as they look to take back the throne of best producing state for hoopers.
