MVP: Dyllan Brown | 5’10 Forward | Team Trae Young 3SSB
Brown took on the scoring load in the championship game to seal his weekend performance and take home MVP honors. When he wasn’t looking for the ball on offense, he was quite the presence on the offensive glass all weekend long, showing off his ability to clean up and play without the ball as a physical prospect. He was fun to watch as was the entire Team Trae Young 3SSB rotation.
1st Team
Chauncey Cravens III | 5’6 Point Guard | Team Trae Young 3SSB
Cravens is a tough point guard specimen in the Team Trae Young 3SSB backcourt who made quite the splash this weekend. He showed off his ability to control the pace and get to his spots on the floor as he made some strong plays in the paint for his squad as they ran away with things in the title game. He’s already a 3-level scoring floor general that possesses a ton of potential in the 2027 class.
Jake Pope | 5’6 Shooting Guard | Champion Skills Academy Elite
Pope was instant offense every time he touched the floor for Champion Skills Academy Elite. He has an advanced skillset as a shooter on all three levels for his squad despite the results for them on the weekend. He’s a young name to keep an eye on given his ability to score the ball in a variety of ways regardless of setting.
Dreyden Montgomery | 5’11 Guard | ABC Spotlight 2027
Montgomery is a prospect with a strong motor to keep an eye on with ABC Spotlight 2027. ABC Spotlight almost made a comeback in the championship game and a lot of it was thanks to the play of Dreyden Montgomery. He’s a crafty operator off the bounce that made a number of big plays in getting his squad back into the title game, despite the result.
Jacques Mitchell | 6’0 Forward/Wing | Team Trae Young 3SSB
Mitchell was quite the defensive leader for Team Trae Young 3SSB. He was their energy all weekend long with his ability to set quite the tone on defense with his speed, length and quickness to force turnovers and make things happen on the fastbreak on the opposite end. He’s a prospect with a lot of potential given his ability to make his presence felt when he’s on the floor.
David Douglas III | 5’11 Wing | Team Trae Young 3SSB
Douglas was another two-way presence for Team Trae Young 3SSB that set the tone defensively with his length and athleticism. He was also dialed in on offense from the perimeter as well as his squad ran away with things in the championship game. He’s another athletic prospect with solid potential on the wing for this group.
