Tyler Michalak I X-Men United

Michalak is a hooper! He has a never-let-up attitude and motor. His athleticism allows him to get to the basket consistently. His constant pressure on the ball made for easy baskets in transition. Michalek spent the majority of Day 1 knocking it down from deep – I was impressed by his ability to switch it up on Day 2 and attack the rim. Michalak’s energy played a huge role in the X-Men United winning the Championship Title.

Amir DanForth I FVV Elite

A big guard with noticeably impressive range, he was shooting far beyond the arc with. His confidence and leadership was contagious, FVV Elite was comfortable running their offense through Danworth. The FVV guard is a sure minded scorer who draws a lot of defensive attention but never shies away from the pressure. Danworth flourished on all three levels of the floor at the Future Stars Classic.

Khymir Carson I Team Illinois

Carson picked his spots well! His ability to slash and penetrate the paint made for efficient scoring for Team Illinois. Carson’s ability to finish strong through contact made for constant pressure on the rim and frequent visits to the free throw line. His mental toughness was contagious to helping his team be successful in close games.

Cazell Henderson I Bradley Elite

Henderson was a leader on both ends of the floor, his tenacity and vocal leadership made for competitive basketball for Bradley Elite. He’s a poised offensive player that excels at making reads within the offense. Henderson’s sense of urgency made for high paced scoring and easy transition baskets all weekend.

Jordan Davila I Together As One

A pure point guard who is highly aware and vigilant. His selfless play set up his teammates for easy baskets at Future Stars Classic. He plays with tremendous instincts on both ends of the court! His play-making ability applies constant pressure on help-defense. His gritty style of play created great pace for his teammates and sufficient space for cutters to score on his assists.

Ladell White I X-Men United

White is a two-way impact player. He knows his role on this talented X-Men United team and fits it well. His ability to pressure the ball controls the tempo of the game. His pace and ability to get downhill keeps his opponent on their heels. With his high-level effort and energy he could do no wrong on either end of the court.

Malik Givens I Team Illinois

Givens consistently applied pressure to the defense with his balanced attack. His ability to get downhill combined with his shooting capability kept oppositions guessing. Givens has a low dribble and court awareness that was most impressive. Givens has a unique ability to play both slow and fast. He did well cutting off the ball and being patient within the offense. Givens was a clear threat on and off the ball.

Xavier Allen I CBA Gold Elite

The CBA Gold Elite standout guard is never in a hurry. The first noticeable skill of Allen is his decisiveness within his play-making. His quick first step is all the advantage he needed for easy baskets around the rim. His ability to float into space in ball reversals gave him all the room he needed to knock down baskets from beyond the arc. Allen’s ability to draw help defense made for big-time buckets for his teammates.
