Caden Miller | Shooting Guard | ABC Spotlight 2027
I love how Caden Miller let the game come to him both defensively and offensively, his patience alone as an on-ball defender forced a high number of turnovers. On the offensive side of the ball, Miller was lethal from all areas beyond the arc, proving to be an efficient shot maker that makes the most out of his scoring opportunities. This kid is a pure knockdown catch-and-shoot specialist that can flat out shoot the lights out.
Jonathan Rodriguez | Point Guard | Dallas, TX | AKR Texas Summitt / Vols Elite 2028
Texas Summitt prospect, Jonathan Rodriguez continuously showcases his prowess as a pure speedster with the ball in hand. When I say this kid is an absolute blur I mean it, if you blink you might miss something special. Tremendous control of his pace and speed, everything Jonathan did was at top acceleration, even when passing the rock he zipped the ball through tight closing windows with ease and still managed to get the ball into his teammate’s shooting pocket. Rodriguez also has a bag full of moves at his use at all times, remarkable stop on a dime, change of pace, and direction dribbles which make him seem unguardable in one-on-one situations, once he sizes his man up with between the legs crossover dribbles his next step is to blow-by his defender and attack the basket.
Marcellus Connor | Guard | San Antonio, TX | Texas Grind 2029
Impressive creativity and footwork on the straight-line drive, Connor used smooth effective eurosteps that led him to the opposite side of the basket where he would then finish with a reverse lay-in. Solid court vision, Marcellus Connor looked to dish the ball on the drive, he always took the baseline with a purpose looking for cutters or an open postman and Connor also looked for the kick it out to a corner shooter. Defensively, his quick-moving feet and active hands were on full display, ripping some of the better dribblers on the court and poking the ball loose when least expected.
Jashon Morinia | Point Guard | South Valley, NM | ABC Spotlight 2029
Jashon Morinia is one of those special prospects that can control every aspect of the game on both ends of the floor. Defensively, he shows a phenomenal quick and active hand, sit’s rare to see a play where Morinia doesn’t find a way to get his claws on the ball, whether it’s a rebound, a tipped pass, a jumped throw in the passing lanes or a clean on-ball steal. Offensively, Morinia can touch any spot on the floor due to his speed, quickness, and ultra-low pounding dribble. that allowed Jashon to bust through any full-court press over and over again, his change of pace dribble sliced through the zone as well. High-level paint touch guard that can get into the teeth of the defense at will. Once inside he quickly went up with floater if the defense stepped up but if they stayed at bay he took the extra dribble to get the layup, displaying good instincts for when and how to score.
Dorian Johanson | San Antonio, TX | Texas Grind 2029
Dorian Johanson quickly caught my attention as an outstanding hustle player with the way he started the championship game off, nailing a corner three-pointer and immediately following it up with a deflection and a steal on the defensive end. As the game went on Johanson became more and more of a terror in transition, burning teams with his elite breakaway speed anytime a shot went up, you must have a man ready to get back at all times when this young baller is on the floor.
