Here we take a look at some of the top-performing and most unstoppable jumpshooters from this marvelous weekend.
Isaiah Brown | Albuquerque, NM | ABC Spotlight 2027
This deep-range shooting marksman made team pay on countless occasions for leaving him open. Brown played his role to perfection, he spotted up and located openings from the perimeter looking for catch and shoot opportunities. Good efficiency, it didn’t take Isaiah Brown many shots to get going to heat up from deep.
Langston Cordova-Giles | Dallas, TX | Team Ferrari 2028
One of the most outstanding shooting marksmen of them all had to be Langston Cordova Giles, this young baller is the definition of a sharpshooter, he stays in a position to shoot, will let it fly in a blink of an eye, and can knock it down from several different spots beyond the arc. Cordova-Giles stood out all weekend with his greatness as a 3-and-D performer, he pressured the ball the full length of the floor and made opposing guards uncomfortable, he never gave up on a play, and Langston also picked up a few clean blocks due to effort and effective closeouts.
Beckham Hopkins | Dallas, TX | AKR Texas Summitt / Vols Elite 2028
Beckham Hopkins is always a pleasure to watch, he’s such a pure jump shooter that you can’t help but marvel at what he brings to the table. On this weekend Hopkins’ minutes were limited but he still managed to make his presence felt each moment he was on the floor, on multiple occasions he came in off the bench and immediately nailed his first shot attempt from deep, often after spotting up from the left or right-wing. There must be a hand in the face of Beckham at all times or else he will begin to drain three-pointers in bunches, and once this kid is hot there’s no cooling him off.
Garrison Pitts | Dallas, TX | Team Ferrari 2028
Team Ferrari’s go-to guy, Garrison Pitts torched teams with his sharpshooting abilities. Pitts proved to be a deadly wing jumpshooter off the dribble and off the catch with and without a hand in a face or a defender flying at him. This kid was unconscious from deep and unphased by whatever the defense threw at him, allowing Pitts to create 3 and 4-point plays by locking in and knocking down his jumper while being hit or undercut, showing highly impressive shooting expertise along with great consistency and touch. Pitts was able to change the momentum of games with timely long-range bombs. Every three-pointer Garrison Pitts drilled came with an abundance of excitement and energy from the crowd as well as his teammates.
Javen Vigil | Rio Rancho, NM | ABC Spotlight 2029
4-foot-11, Javen Vigil might not be the tallest player on the court but he surely has one of the faster releases of them all. Unorthodox shooting form, Vigil had to force it up there when shooting from deep but he was often on target and even managed to convert the jumpers at times, showing the touch and potential of a knockdown jumpshooter.
