Achiel Dunwiddie | Midwest Basketball Club
Dunwiddie stood out on both ends of the floor. The hard-nosed wing did it all for Midwest Basketball Club; snatching offensive and defensive rebounds over bigger opponents, sacrificing his body and beating his matchup to the spot, and closing out on shooting threats on the perimeter. The two-way wing can heat up quickly and has a quick release which makes for daggers in opponents’ faces. His ball skills allowed him to make plays for others when ran off the line, his team-first mentality was a catalyst for his team throughout the weekend.
Mustaf Rexhepi | Greater Purpose Athletics
Rexhepi is a dynamic prospect who wields power and finesse out on the court. His offensive bag consisted of; powerful finishes around the rim through contact, shooting or rolling when setting picks causing defenders to pick their poison, and nose for the ball on shot attempts scoring off putbacks. His impact on the defensive end made for a solid interior defense allowing nothing easy inside. His ability to switch on screens stood out along with his high IQ and lateral quickness,
Maliq Givens | Team Illinois
Givens is an agile guard who has maturity in his game. The shifty guard carries with him a plethora of moves that make him a threat. He turned heads with his ability to attack the rim, draw help and kick to open teammates. In addition, he was freezing defenders which gave him space for pull-up jumpers and floaters. Most impressive was his awareness on defense; digging down to support his post players, closing out on shooters, and causing havoc in the passing lanes with great timing and instinct.
Julien Smith | Ball By Design
Smith is a combo guard who brings high-level tools each time out for Ball By Design. His balanced attack on the offensive consists of; using his speed and strength to comfortably get to his spots, spacing the floor, and taking advantage of slow defensive rotations. He also shined in his ability to spread defenses out with decisive skips and lead passes to layups. The steady scoring guard plays with a team-first mentality, his leadership was impactful.
Joey Pate | 5-Star
Pate is a high-energy prospect who plays with great pace on both ends of the court. His activity in the passing lanes demoralized opponents and put a wrench in his opponent’s offensive flow. His ability to turn defense into offense was on display all weekend! Pate was a vocal leader as well as a leader by example with his; willingness to stop the ball in fast breaks, constant pursuit on the ball in 50-50 situations, and reliability in transition situations filling lanes and applying pressure on the rim.
