Winter Haven, FL. — Prep Hoops Next was able to get their eyes on some of the top prospects from Florida this past weekend at the Sunshine Slam as we made our first trip to the Southeast this year. Below are five prospects that really changed the game whenever they were in the game…
2026 Brandon Brazil | Athletes Of Influence
Brazil was the MVP of his championship winning Athletes of Influence team for the 14U division and it was an easy decision as he was performing at a high level throughout the entire weekend. Standing at 6’4, Brazil has an immediate advantage because of his size and uses that very well. Brazil is an effective scorer around the rim which is where he got a lot of his points for Athletes Of Influence. Defensively, he made a strong impression as he was able to shut down some of the better post players and does a good job of playing defense without fouling.
2026 Toni Bryant | Florida Express
A no-brainer to make this list was Bryant of Florida Express who at 6’8 was very hard to stop because of his size, athleticism, versatility and skillset. Bryant showed multiple dimensions of how to score the ball as he can finish over the smaller defender, finish above the rim and step out and hit a jumper. The scary thing about Bryant is he has not been playing basketball for so long so there is a lot of potential and upside for him.
2026 Amir Danforth | FVV Elite
We talked about Danforth throughout the weekend and for good reasoning. Danforth’s ability to take over games and put his team on his back is like no other. Whenever his team is in trouble, Danforth puts his head down and gets to work. He is a dominant scorer and again, has been one of the best consistent performers on the Prep Hoops Next Circuit this year.
2026 Iran Francis Jr. | Xtreme Pressure
Xtreme Pressure made it to the 14U championship this past weekend in Florida and a large part of that was because of the play from 6’6 Iran Francis. Jr. Francis was a dominant force on both ends of the ball and was the ultimate game changer in the Sunshine Slam. In terms of some of the better long term prospects from this event, Francis Jr. has to be near the top of the list.
2026 Evan Kramer | Florida Express
Another important piece to the success of Florida Express this past weekend was Kramer. Kramer, who is currently listed at 6’1 has been regarded as the most important player for Florida Express. He is a sniper from behind the three point line as he stays shot ready. Because of his success shooting the ball, he is constantly moving off the ball to try and get open. There is a lot to like long term for Kramer as he is expected to grow another two inches it seems.
