As we know, point guards lead the show and in this article we identify five point guards that really stood out during our time in Florida…
2026 Omarion Alfred | Athletes Of Influence
Alfred is the lead guard of the 2026 Athletes Of Influence team that won the 14U Championship this past weekend in Winter Haven. Alfred stays in constant attack mode and is always doing something productive when the ball is in his hands. He understands his role for his team and played an enormous part in his team’s championship run.
2026 Dejaih Coleman | Gulf Coast Warriors Of Panama
Coleman is looking to have a strong presence at the lead guard position for years to come. Coleman was the most productive player on his Gulf Coast Warriors team and one of the more polished guards in the entire Sunshine Slam. He looks more like a score first guard but he also showed the ability to find his open teammates.
2026 Charlie Fairley | KOTC
Fairley is part of a fun KOTC to watch and constantly was making winning plays during his time in Florida this past weekend. Yes, he is smaller standing at only 5’6 but the kid can go. Whether it was passing the ball or shooting it from midrange, Fairley makes his team better whenever he is on the court.
2026 Alashawn Hagan | Xtreme Pressure
Most of the talk involving Hagan’s team this past weekend was the success of Calvin Thomas and Iran Francis Jr.. But who makes them better? Hagans does as he is the floor general for that Xtreme Pressure group. Hagan knows he needs to get Thomas and Francis involved on offense and you could tell that that was his top priority this weekend at the Sunshine Slam.
2027 Archie McFadden | Florida Express
McFadden was the lead floor general for an extremely talented Florida Express team that made it to the semifinals of the 14U division at Sunshine Slam. McFadden is a team first point guard that simply makes his team better. He has the type of vision you want in a point guard, creates well on offense and can distribute the ball nicely. McFadden is certainly a lead guard to watch from the state of Florida.
