Dallas, Texas – On March 21st and 22nd, 14U & 13U teams packed Haltom and Legacy High School and put on a show! The prospects in the building displayed eye-catching talents. Nearing the end of the Spring season, there are many players to keep an eye on going into the Summer. In both blowouts and nail biters, athletes came to compete and get exposure. It’s not always about what is on the scoreboard but the high-level skills displayed at such a developing age. Making an impact on a program can come from the numbers a prospect puts up, how the prospect makes teammates better, and how a prospect communicates on the floor and beyond. Below, I’ve highlighted some of the players who made a noticeable impact on their teams at The Tune-Up.
Je’Sean Johnson | Detroit Bulldogs
Johnson is a presence on both ends of the floor; his length and instincts make him an all-around impact player. His defensive versatility enables him to switch on to guards in pick-and-roll situations. He creates instant scoring opportunities in transition, can get steals, and creates deflections in the passing lanes. His impact carries over to the offensive end, where he is a focal point for the Detroit Bulldogs. His steady handle provides cutting lanes for teammates and space to pull up mid-range or from three. His impact led to consistent scores around the rim. Johnsons’ feel for the game is next-level ready.
Langston Cordova Giles | Team Ferrari 
Giles is a dynamic prospect who has an impressive feel for the game and understands how to use his frame to his advantage. He provides patience and poise when at the helm. His quick first step is crucial enough to cause defenders to sag off. More often than not the sure-minded guard makes his opponent pay with a soft and consistent jump shot. Giles has a high motor on the defensive end. His menacing defense causes; steals, deflections, and scores in transition. The balanced guard is an impact player and makes great pace for Team Ferrari.
Bode Lashley | RSE Elite
Lashley stands out the most in the off-guard position. His ability to find himself open in the half-court played a huge role for RSE Elite over the weekend. The shooting guard proved to be a sniper when given open shots. He has a unique combination of being a volume shooter in addition to having a great shot selection. Against FAO he posted a 30-point outing shooting a high clip of 8 for 12 from three-point range. His impact carried over to the defensive end where he proved to have active hands in the passing lanes, gathering multiple steals on more than one occasion.
Evan Ledoux | LA Broncos 
Ledeux is a silky smooth combo guard who is an offensive threat for the LA Broncos. With the ball in his hands, he’s a threat in a multitude of ways. He’s able to drive and kick when drawing help, break his defender down and finish with either hand in the paint. He turned heads with his ability to freeze his defender, and light it up from range. While off the ball, he’s effective by spacing the floor in catch and shoot opportunities. He used his quickness well when cutting to the basket, and utilizing his next-level motor to create a flowing offense for the LA Broncos.
Hazzan Efford | South Florida Blackhawks
Efford is a combo guard with an elite motor. His constant movement and activity on both ends was a catalyst for the South Florida Blackhawks championship run. The vigilant guard made great reads in the half-court finding open teammates as well as shooting a high clip when given the space. Efford is a microwave scorer who can heat up quickly hitting threes; off of screens in the half-court, in transition as a result of him beating his man down the floor, and in pick and roll situations when the hedge refused to put a hand up. The South Florida Blackhawk guard is a sniper who is a task to keep up with.
