The talent was great and it was good to see some local DMV prospects go up against some prospects from different states. Below is the second part of my top playmakers from the event. You can view part 1 here!
2026 Latrell Allmond | Team Loaded VA
Allmond is a do it all forward standing at 6’8. He can play bully ball in the low post because of his size, has good touch a few feet out from the rim and can finish above the rim. Allmond takes up a lot of space in the post which was used to Team Loaded’s advantage and a reason they were the champions of the 14U bracket at Memorial Day Takeover.
2026 Mike Jones | Team Loaded VA
Jones is the lead point guard for Team Loaded VA and is the guy that makes everything go for his team. Jones was one of the top ball handlers from last weekend and is able to make a lot happen off the dribble. For a point guard, he can also score the ball well when needed. He can play through contact which allows him to get to the free throw low line a good amount and can shoot the ball very well and from different spots on the floor. Jones is a player that will play starter minutes right away in high school
2026 Prince-Alexander Moody | Team Takeover
Moody is a difference maker for his 14U Team Takeover squad. The 6’4 guard has good size that allows him to be a versatile option on both sides of the ball and especially on offense. Moody is explosive off two feet that allows him to drive well and is comfortable playing through contact. He is a consistent and reliable three point shooter and has the ability to get out well in transition. Look for Moody to be an instant contributor for Bishop McNamara next year as a freshman.
2026 TJ Smith | Team Melo
Team Melo ended up falling in the semifinals of the Memorial Day Takeover tournament to the eventual champions, Team Loaded VA but Smith led Melo as far as they could with his aggressive style of play. He uses his speed and strength well when the ball is in his hands to make something happen. Smith is the go to guy for this group and showed why last weekend.
2026 Kymani Weathers | Tre Mann Elite
Right now Weathers might get a little overlooked because of the other personnel on his Tre Mann Elite team but from what I saw, he might have been the most productive prospect for his bunch last weekend. He was always there grabbing rebounds for his team, kept a lot of offensive possessions alive with tip outs, he is always a force to block a shot on defense and showed a lot of versatility on offense. Weathers is a name you will be hearing more and more of in the coming months.
