14U Field Is Wide Open
The 14U quarterfinals tips off at 9:05 on Sunday and matchups are stacked. Wisconsin Elite, CBA – North Gold, Team FSA, Arkansas Athletes Outreach, FOA, Wisconsin Academy, RFG and BBD are the eight teams remaining. The number one takeaway from this final eight is that there is no clear favorite as any of them could be crowned champions in Kansas City.
13U Is Down To Four
The final four for 13U is STACKED and is going to be exactly what basketball nerds want to see. The final four teams remaining are 12 Deep Wisconsin, Missouri Crush, 212 Basketball Academy and Pivot Life United. Just like 14U, there are no clear favorites and we are excited to watch it all play out on Sunday morning.
Wisconsin Academy Duo Leads Them
The duo of Jacob Hibner and Jordan Suiter for Wisconsin Academy is a reason their group has been so dominant here in Kansas City so far. Hibner’s dad is the coach of the team and that has helped Jacob become a coach and great leader on the court. He runs the offense perfectly and has been on the better shooters in the 14U division this weekend.
Suiter has been a strong impactful two way player for Wisconsin Academy. His size and athleticism has allowed him to be a strong mismatch which helps him to be a versatile scorer and a guy that can defend multiple positions at a high level on defense.
Jaden Boyd Impresses
The lead catalyst for 12 Deep Wisconsin is Jaden Boyd and he has been getting after it all weekend long for 12 Deep. Boyd is super crafty with the ball that has been dishing out assists all weekend long. Boyd, who is usually one of the smallest players on the court, does a good job of finishing around the rim as he is an impressive layup package.
The One And Only Hy-Vee Arena
What a place! If I could come to this arena every weekend for events, I would. The arena had a tremendous atmosphere all day long as people filled the seats all day long. It was super exciting to watch the action unfold with the place being filled and we can only imagine what Sunday has in store!
