Kameron Mercer || Ohio || 2028 ||
Big, fast and quick first step. Sometimes lit looks too easy for this kid out there. He is like a shark, he’s sees blood in the water and he will attack you on offense and defense using those active hands and getting those easy steals. He uses his left and right with strength and dribble control. great young handle that he can use at various levels. He keeps that dribble low but can work it high as well. Cross, cross, in and out or step-back you name it and he has mastered it. Will be in a a battle for Top dag in the Class of 2028.
Andrew Cast Jr. || Michigan || 2028 ||
Another young lefty with a bag. On the ball he has an elite handle and he keeps it simple with his moves that get him at the rim. He also throws in a floater here and there that has some nice height and arc. Shoots it well as a SG and he can create space in a pick n’ roll that gives him space to shoot it off the bounce.
Shane Goines || South Carolina || 2028 ||
A lot of length and wiggle to a player that has the timing down on the defensive end to contest shots. He is a great help-side defender. Kid has some bounce to him as well as he is throwing it down already. Patience on defense to wait for the right to contest and even to block a shot. That wiggle he has frees him up a lot on the initial move but then he can get by the first tear of defenders and make the second wave miss as well. The motor is good and he uses different gears to get open. Smooth overall game out there in South Carolina.
Dominic Spinks || Missisippi || 2028 ||
This smart PG gets downhill in a hurry. That control speed allows him to use a head fake or a simple in and out to shake defenders on the move. Makes quick fork of them in the open floor. Uses different finishing moves at the rim as he keeps defenders off balance. The handle is what sticks out the most out of his game as he makes some of those tough dribbling plays look easy. Will be one of the premier ball handlers in the South.
JJ Sati-Grier || California ||
Another strong guard emerging out of the masses in California is JJ. This kid has elite vision and not only does he put the ball in its place on a pass but he also puts some steam on those passes as well. Kid has a motor as he turns it up on defense running all over the floor looking for steals on the ball or jumping in lanes to get other steals as well. One of the best passers you will see when he is on the ball. Off the ball he is trouble with some quick footwork that get him in the lane and outside, he can knock down jumpers. Stay tuned.
