They broke the athletes into groups by age groups and each age group was full of talent and kids that wanted to learn to games of basketball. all of the coaches were hands-on with each athlete no matter the skill level or age. After station breakdowns, the kids broke off into teams by age group. and here are some of the stand-out kids from the 6th grade and under.
Deon Grant 2028 Aurora IL Deon was hands down the best point guard in the camp for his age group. The way used his speed to get around kids and set up his teammates with multiple alley oops made it fun to watch this young man. Being an undersized guard Deon does not have a hard time finishing at the basket. I am looking to catching this young man in action this coming season.
Jasish Young 2029 Bellwood IL Jasish is a well round all-around player who does a lot of everything you would want out of a basketball player. growing 3 inches this summer has made the game a lot easier for him allowing him to see over defenders and make plays for his team, whether it be in the half-court or on the fastbreak.
Ethen Vahl 2028 Aurora IL Ethen took over the camp and made it hard for any defender to stay in front of him. Using a number of moves to freeze defenders made winning the king of the hill tournament easy. Ethen Is a walking bucket.
Lashawn Brown 2028 Bellwood IL A skilled big man that plays both sides of the court. Shawn is a load who knows how to use his body to take up space on both sides of the floor. The ability to finish with both hands at the rim makes Shawn a promising big man with a bright future and will dominate the class of 2028
