Mckinley gobbled up boards in traffic and showed enough ball skills to grab it off the glass and start the break. I think he showed enough transition handle to eventually transition down to the two. I was also intrigued with his ability to face up in the halfcourt and get to the rim in three dribbles or less.

Terrance Bryd 5’9 SF Team Takeoff 2028 – Bryd was not dominant in the game I watched, however, he showed some skills that caught my eye. He was good facing the basket and displayed enough ball skills to get to the cup. In fact, the 5’9 forward’s overall handle was intriguing. He showed some COD’s including a smooth between the legs and behind the back dribble. Overall he has a strong handle for a player his size, and I liked the fact that the righty, was able to finish with his off-hand.

Owen French 5’7 SF|PF Dalen Terry Elite 2028 – French’s size is what caught my eye, as well as his ability to run the floor. He mixed up rim runs with lane fills and was effective, catching and finishing on both. He won his 50/50 rebounds and showed some ability to slash to the rim. He played both spots effectively and may have prospect potential at either. I didn’t get a chance to see him shoot the ball, as the majority of his baskets came around the rim in the game I saw.

Braylon Tillman 5’0 PG Team Takeover 2028 – Tillman is a pure PG, with a floor general game, with some flair to it. I liked his handle and his ability to facilitate the offense. His wiggle is nice too as he uses a nice hesitation to keep defenders off balance. He has a nice feel for the game, evident by his ability to execute called plays, and deliver pinpoint backdoor passes. What’s really intriguing about Tillman is his ability on the defensive end. The PG used a combination of energy, effort, and instincts to hound opposing ballhandlers.

Amare Wilford 5’1 PG Arizona Storm – Wilford played decent in the game I watched, knocking down some threes and handling the ball. What he’s on the list for is providing the highlight of the tournament. Wilford hit a 30-foot bomb in a back-and-forth competition against Dalen Terry Elite. I was able to catch up with the PG after the game to talk about it.

Domino Moore 5’5 CG|SG Skyriders – Skyriders had a ton of players, but Moore was one of the most productive ones. He gets his buckets mostly in transition, either running the floor or being on the finishing end of a steal in the Skyrider’s pressure defense. He scored a bunch, but it was his passing skills that got my attention. Moore made some nice hit-ahead passes and showed good vision diming up teammates.

Mason Tamlyn 5’1 PG Gremlins – Tamlyn is starting to become one of my favorite young players to watch. I’ve seen him play live a few times now and he’s impressed every time. He’s small but super skilled. The lefty has a good handle, including some advanced CODs and a high IQ. I loved the way he used his body to shield defenders allowing him to get his shot off in the lane. He did not finish well, however one of the ways I judge young players is on their ability to contribute when their shot isn’t falling. In addition to heavy ball-handling duties, Tamlyn knocked down all his free throws in three last-minute trips to the line.
