Hammad was one of the team’s best facilitators, helping to create easy buckets for his teammates. While undersized, he is extremely skilled, showing the ability to shoot it and handle it at a solid level for his age.

Melo Tillman 4’11 PG Teamtakeoff 2029 – The Young Gun, Tillman was one of my favorite players at the event. The fiesty PG could best be described as a pest on the defensive end, as he hounded opponents all over the floor. He is highly skilled on the offensive end as well. Tillman has speed, quickness, and a slick handle. He put a dirty spin move on a defender in the game I saw, Tillman is an instinctual passer, that hit guys on the move, as well as in simple hit-ahead situations.

Michah Perlman 6’0 PF Team Takeoff 2028 – I like young bigs that can move. Perlman is extremely raw so he would fall into the sleeper category. The big man has a few skills to hang his hat on, including his ability to rim run, which allowed him to trail and finish teammates missed transition layups. He scored all his points off putbacks around the bucket in the game I saw, however, his energy activity, and size is intriguing.

Brexton Quinet 5’2 PG AZ Storm 2029 – Quinet is a Young Gun that I was looking for immediately after I saw him play. Despite his team’s loss, he showed some game. Luckily for me, I got an opportunity to see him again and he did not disappoint. The lefty is extremely crafty and played like a veteran scorer, using angles, and pace to get shots off in the lane.

Isaiah Rider IV 5’7 SG Skyriders 2028 – Rider wasn’t his best in the game I saw, however, he’s a sleeper, because of a couple of new things about him that I like. First, it’s his frame, as his long arms give me the impression of a player prepared to stretch out. His ballhandling was also improved, as Rider showed a tighter handle and incorporated some smooth CODs in his game.
Kaleb Taylor 6’1 SG DME Academy 2029 (featured image) – Taylor is a Young Gun that had the look of a future prospect. He played a lot with the ball in his hand, and multiple defenders in his lap. Despite that Taylor managed to get wherever he wanted on the floor. He has a long lean frame and he used it to go over the top of defenders for rebounds and extend on layup attempts. I didn’t think the c/o 2029 stud finished particularly well around the rim, yet he was still one of the top prospects I saw.

Ashton Ries 6’1 PF Arizona Gremlins 2028 – Ries is a sleeper to keep an eye on. He has size and was able to give his team some tough rebounding in the game I saw. A below-the-rim Glass cleaner, Ries was able to carve out space around the rim and grab his share of in-traffic rebounds. His signature skill was enough to tab him as one of the event’s sleepers.
