Jamier Montgomery’s father Archie Boyd former Crane stand-out Archie Boyd reached 6’8 with a 7’0 foot wingspan and Jamier looks like he is on his way. With the ability to play the 1-5 on both ends of the court at a high level gives this young man tremendous upside. A wizard with the ball who will hit you with a number of counter moves to get anywhere he wants on the court. The ability to absorb contact while attacking the rack allows Jamier to convert And 1’s and knock the free throw down making Jamier A player you do not want to foul getting to the basket with full steam ahead.

Spending all summer developing a consistent jump shot has made Jamier a bonified shooter you can not leave open. Maturing his game Jamier has learned to play at his pace and not at the pace the defense wants him to. Playing Point guard this past season for Meanstreets 2027 National Team the pressure was on Jamier to run the show on the biggest stage for his grade level and he made it look easy.

After talking to Jamier he says “developing his body, athletism, muscle memory, and verticle will be his primary focus going into his 9th-grade year.” Seeing this young man grow and mature at such a quick rate since picking up a basketball in the 4th grade has shown why Jamier’s upside has no ceiling. The only way to stop this young man is to get him in foul trouble because this kid knows how to play basketball without having to lead his team in scoring. Jamier is a Stat Sheet Stuffer!

Adding two 2028 Transfers Alvin Robinson, and Josiah Hall will allow Jamier to be Skinner’s primary ball handler and with him being guarded by some of the best point guards in the country I think Jamier and company are ready to make a deep run and take a crack at winning the City Championship in his final year of Middle school before making the decision on what High School will get the opportunity to develop him into the Collegiate stand out he is projected to be.
