Last Season Record: 10-4
Collin Robinson (5’8/Point Guard)
Collin brings activity on both ends of the floor and is, without a doubt, the team’s floor general. He brings leadership and an excellent feel for the game. He is a PG who can score the rock and does it at multiple levels. He brings a high level of play to the defensive end of the floor just as much as he does on the offensive end. He is a reliable ballhandler for his team and keeps them in rhythm. He is a key component to how Mill Creek wants to play, which is uptempo.
Parker Bunt (5’7/Guard)
Parker is a player at the guard spot that can play on and off the ball. He is an instinctive playmaker who can make plays for others and for himself. He functions as a triple-threat player that can contribute as a shooter, passer, and driver. He has good vision as he sees the floor well and is a terrific passer. He is a skilled player with crafty handles and knows how to get to his spots on the floor where he can produce. He makes plays that contribute to winning, and Mill Creek will need his production at the upcoming tourney.
Beckett Gray (5’8/Guard)
Beckett is one of the best shooters on the team, and he is a quiet competitor that competes at a high and intense level. On a team that likes to push the pace and get to the cup, Beckett is an asset to have so that those who attack off the bounce will have someone to dish it out to in case they get cut-off. He is an unselfish player that makes the extra pass, looks to get others involved, and truthfully carries a team-first mindset.
The Mill Creek team is full of hard workers that look to compete night in and night out. They are not the most physically imposing team; as a matter of fact, they are very undersized. However, there is one thing for sure about Mill Creek: they will never back down and will always be competing. The up-tempo game is the perfect style of play for Coach Young’s team, as they have really good guard play that thrives in space and likes to get up and down the court.
I asked Coach what the keys are for his squad to accomplish their season goals, and his response was very simple as he said, “Belief that we can.”
