Last month DNA Prep Academy/ Team Why Not put everyone on notice with the level of play they has in the 7th Grade Class of 2028 Division. This team plays a NO MERCY type of ball. They play hard as their starting 5 sets the stage and their off the bench players come in and hit the ground running. Roster is made up of some of the best talent out West and it will be exciting to see who can give them some run as most games they have played in have simply been dominating wins.
#1 Jordan Mize Jordan Mize SG
Another Swiss Army Knife type player on the squad that does a little bit of everything, from handling the ball, dishing and defending to scoring the ball. He finds ways to make an impact on the game when he is on the floor.
#2 Jayden Cecil
A lot of flavor to this youngsters game as he gets creative with rock in his hands. Vision is at a high level as he plays some really unselfish ball.
#3 JJ Sati Grier
It had been a year since we saw JJ hoop and this kid has improved in all facets of his game. Do not discount him as one of the better PG’s in the class because he is from the West this kid can hoop on both ends of the floor.
#5 Parks Weaver
This kid has a strap. Really stretches the floor. When he is out there he opens things up as he is a must guard shooter.

There was a lot of hype around this kid and he has lived up to it. Three-level scorer that is strong and is up for any challenge. He is a beast in the post and he is shifty with a tight handle. He does not get phased by contact. Strong going with both hands. Pull-up game is elite and he will take it al the way and throw that thing down on you. Adan is one of the best players in the country.
#12 Kamil Pelovello
Lockdown defender that is really solid on on both ends of the floor. He really is a player that you can call on to pester another teams good guard. This kid is a big time athlete as a multi-sport stud. He is a big time sprinter.
#22 Lleyton Leonard
Up NEXT! Keep this name in mind Lleyton is a dog and he has bounce. He plays with that ballhawk mentality jumping lanes and anticipating plays that lead him to get out on the break and play above the rim. Dude has stupid bounce at aroun 6’2 ish maybe. One of the best slashers in the country. Lefty with some range.
#24 Trace Lopez
The Big fella is doing work and with the way he can control the ball and keep it out of reach of other players by keeping it high and remaining composed is impressive for this big youngster. He has a soft touch around the rim. He makes the easy play and that could be to just take the lay or flush it with one or two hands. Like that developing jumper, that 15-footer looks nice. Next best big out West at 6’9.
Overview:
If you do not like pressure this team is going to pounce on you. This exciting up tempo squad is made up of some really good talent from all over. They will come ready to play.
