Carter has been able to change the way his LA Soldiers team plays. He has been able to stretch the floor with his shooting. He has the three levels of shooting down. He can catch and shoot at a high level, he can catch it on the move and he can do it off the bounce, either on a relocate or simple dribbling off of a screen. Carter is starting to grow some more and we expect him to get a few more inches before he enters high school. Should be an intriguing prospect in the future with a lot of basketball in his DNA.

He might be undersized compared to a lot of the bigger guards he usually plays against but he really doesn’t care. He plays at such a high level that you can see that the height difference doesn’t bother him. He is quick and has a good handle which allows him to get space off the bounce and it also puts defenders a bit off of him as if they pick him up high he can get by defenders. One of the better set up step back shooters. He can push out to his step backs and get good balance.
Ignore the class of 2028, it appears that JJ has been playing a grade up for a long time and that is impressive because you cannot tell. One of the higher percentage shooters out West. JJ knows how tomove and stay within the passing lanes and in the vision of the guards or bigs with the ball. He has a good, quick and fluid release that has some elevation. Obviously has been taught by one of the most clutch shooters in the NBA. This kid projects very high and he keeps getting better.

It is always funny hearing parents from other teams and even the coaches when Graham is open. “Not him, he’s a shooter”. Graham has been killing it from deep. Has some range and he is money n the corners. He can get those long three’s to fall in a hurry and he can get streaky. Great shooting foundation to build the rest of his developing game on. He has been good on trail three’s and even hitting three’s on the wing. The bottom line is, if he has space he is going to make you pay.
