Based out of Minneapolis, they have pulled together a competitive roster for the 2027 class. I am very excited to see them show and prove in July at Prep Hoops Next Nationals in Kansas City. This fast growing program is coached by Brian Hollowell. I was able to catch up with him to get more info on his squad. This is what he had to say.
What are your thoughts on how your team has competed thus far in circuit season? How have you prepared?
I thought my team played well for their first prep hoops tournament. I was impressed with my team. I’ve had my group of kids since third grade. I’ve always coached them to be prepared for the next year. They’ve played a grade higher in a lot of tournaments to get them used to winning against older kids.
Which Prep Hoops Next event are you looking forward to most and why?
Prep Hoops Next National Championship June 30- July 2 Kansas City, MO. We’re looking forward to see how my team competes against top level kids their age.
What are your team strengths and areas that could use improvements? My teams strength are ball movement off the ball, we’re a high intensity team that loves to get out in transition, and having a good IQ for a 2027 team. My team can improve on defense transitioning, protecting the basket, and making defensive plays.
